2020/2021 Team Selection Camps, Conditioning Camps & Clinics

PLEASE NOTE:  DATES AND FEES ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE FROM YEAR TO YEAR.

CONDITIONING CAMPS
Due to the quick implementation of Phase 2 - Return to Play, there will be no Conditioning Camps scheduled prior to our Team Selection Camp Program this year.

TEAM SELECTION CAMPS (Rep Team Tryouts) - $75.00 / Player - One Time Fee
TAMHA is introducing it's new Team Selection Pilot Project to begin the 2020/21 Phase 2 Hockey Season.  To see our presentation on Team Selection click HERE or find it under our Tryouts and Clinics tab.

Here is how the team selection camps will work going forward. TAMHA will begin its online registration for team selection camps typically in August of the new season.  Notification to TAMHA membership will be conducted by email, website and Facebook when our registration goes live.  Online registration for team selection camps will conclude on a date specified by TAMHA.  No registrations will be taken after the registration end date.  Failure to register will result in your player being ineligible to participate in team selection camps and will be evaluated for a C level team once those evaluations begin.  This process is necessary for proper planning of ice, volunteers, evaluators, and group assignments.  Since our Rep teams are no longer being identified until the evaluation process is complete, it is important for the player to identify any level that they DO NOT wish to tryout/play for. (ie. Wants to tryout for A, not AA).  If this is not specified, the player, if successful, will be placed on a team for which they were evaluated at.

NOTE:  U13 AAA is a unique program and selection camps for U13 AAA will occur separate from the rest.

All players must also be registered with their home association in order to be permitted to take part in team selection camps.  Proof of Association registration will be required upon check-in.

Cost schedule for team selection camps:
  • $75.00 / Player - Please pay by cash (exact change) or e-transfer after pre-registering or at time of check-in
When the player attends the first session their division's team selection camp, there will be a person from the TAMHA board of Directors or designate at a table in the front foyer of the Colchester Legion Stadium to check you in and conduct your COVID-19 Screening.  IF THE PLAYER IS NOT FEELING WELL, DO NOT ATTEND AND CONTACT YOUR DIVISION REP.  If fees are still outstanding, they can be paid at this time as noted above. The player will get receive their tryout jersey and will be monitored before getting on the ice. For Players from outside TAMHA, please ensure you have Registered with your Home Association and have proof of registering with your Home Association (IE. Receipt from registering) prior to attending.

TRYOUT JERSEYS:  Tryout jerseys may be pre-assigned so number requests will not be honoured.  Players are to keep and maintain their assigned jersey until either released, or the team selection camps conclude.  These jerseys MUST be returned in a sealed plastic bag by the end of the final selection camp.  If you do not have a plastic bag, some will be provided at the Stadium for you to use.  Failure to return tryout jerseys can result in delays in the player taking part in a team until they are returned.

CHECKING & REFEREE DEVELOPMENT CLINICS
Usually during the month of September, a Checking Clinic and a Referee Development Clinic may be offered to ensure that players are qualified to participate in U15 and U18 Team Selection Camps and that Referees are up to date in their qualifications.  For the Checking Clinic, players are only required to take a Hockey Nova Scotia Certified Checking Clinic once.  TAMHA will provide online registration for the Checking Clinics beginning in 2020.    Players will receive an hour of off-ice instruction followed by 2 hours of on ice instruction.

2020/2021 CHECKING CLINIC ($15/player) - Will be offered prior to our team selection camps.  Please follow our website and your email to see when our online registration takes place.

2020/2021 REFEREES - All qualified referees from last season have had their credentials extended to December 2020 pending upcoming referee clinics.
